Keep Pedalling is the small bike shop in the
city. We're striving for the feel of a classic bike shop, you get a 'Hi' when you walk through the door. We sell bikes, accessories and service. We specialise in commuter and 'adventure' bikes -
recreational cyclists, randonneurs, and even racers- but you will probably never see a carbon fibre frame in the shop. The same person you talk to about your bikes needs is the same one who works on
it. It's the personal touch that sets us apart.
Shona's been travelling the world since her late teens and has extensive experience of Asia, Africa and all over Europe. Before opening Keep Pedalling she managed one of Manchester's premier outdoor shops and before that the travel bookshop Stanfords. More recently she's toured the Atlas mountains in Morocco, traversed Iceland's interior and explored the less travelled parts of the Scottish Highlands. Planning a trip to one of the more unusual parts of the world? This is the person to talk to. You'll find out the best books and maps to use, which clothing and equipment to take and that you should probably be riding a Surly Long Haul Trucker.
Rich has been consumed by a passion for bicycles since his youth tinkering in his Dad's shed. With many years experience of working in the bike industry Rich is certainly qualified to spin a spanner and build a bomb proof set of wheels. Putting in the miles on a long commute ensure he knows what works and what is destined for the scrap bin. 24hr solo single speed endurance racing and back country touring are a lot of fun whenever there's some time away from the shop. Favourite bike? Got to be the Surly CrossCheck! 3 peaks of Yorkshire, Atlas mountains, 6000 miles a year commute - does it all.
This is Olive the shop pup. Regularly seen testing the capabilities of the Surly Big Dummy cargo bike around the streets of Manchester. This is her checking out the workshop productivity.
