Shona’s re-invented Surly Straggler, all started with a pair of PaulComp Rasta quick release skewers…  A while back we layered up a standard black Surly Straggler with some glitter rattle can coating from Spray Bike.  Surly no longer produce a 700c 42cm Straggler frame so we nabbed one of the last ones around. They’re 650b for 52cm and below now. Then the skewers came by FedEx and we were off in search of a headset.

Easton road cranks and an Absolute oval direct mount ring. Round v’s Oval rings? Really, we have no idea but people seem to like ’em. See some opinion here

White Industries Dos freewheel, road and dirt options to keep your legs happy.

Tioga Undercover Hers saddle. Remember the spider web saddlle that Tioga produced? It was super comfy but made some riders nervous with it’s funny looks. Well now they’ve gone and solved all that by adding a thin cover over the comfy bit. Now it looks good and is comfy too – couldn’t ask for more.

What else but SupaCaz bar tape in the Rasta theme?  The item that took the most time to find was the Rasta Chris King headset. No longer produced this was a bit of a bugger to find in good condition.  Good company with the King edition Spurcycle bell.

Those skewers, super pimp limited edition Rasta wheel holders from Chico, California. Whisky No 7 QR Cross carbon disc fork. Not many options around for your non tapered steel cross frame. These will play nice with the 700c or 650b options.

Velocity Blunt SL rims wrapped with 120tpi Surly Knard rubber.

Supa Caz Super Cush Galaxy bar tape, nothing else would do. So damn matchy.

Hope discs with Avid BB7 brakes and those Paul Comp skewers.

Surly sealed bearing disc hubs finish it all off.

Pretty neat.
